Automotive Validation Engineer

Job Description

The position is located in the Engineering Department of the Intel Automotive (IA) in Galati - Romania. You will be part of the Integration, Validation and Release (IVR) team. This team designs, develops, executes and maintains the validation tests and infrastructure for all our IA platforms and projects.

Your Responsibility Will Include:

• Maintain the current Test Suite, Test infrastructure and tools for different automotive projects.

• Design test scenarios for stress and performance measurements

• Develop new test scripts and applications according to specifications and requirements.

• Prepare Linux and Android platform environments for validation purposes. (e.g., Operating System deployment, Platform hardware setup, Host environment setup).

• Create, track & verify defects as part of test case execution.

• Identify & propose validation process improvements.

• Collaborate with multiple teams located on site and off site.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field with 2 years of programming experience.

• Knowledge of both Windows and Unix based operating systems environments.

• Basic knowledge of software programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python, Java).

• Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Unix-shell, Python).

• Basic knowledge of unit testing concepts.

• Good problem-solving skills, structured approach to your work.

• Spoken and written English: upper-intermediate level or advanced.

• A “can-do” attitude is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of programming experience.

• An experience in automotive software and hardware environment.

• Previous experience with software programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python, Java).

• Previous experience with software scripting languages (e.g., Unix-shell, Python).

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices.

• Previous experience with unit tests implementation (e.g., VectorCast, LDRA, pytest).

• Good organization skills and a very structured approach to your work.

• The ability to have an effective communication with teams located on site and off site.

• Capable of executing complex tasks with high level of independence.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
