Experienced Silicon Validation Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Silicon Validation Engineer to take ownership of full chip validation for an advanced AI processor. In this role, you will define, develop, and execute validation strategies to ensure silicon meets the highest performance, power, and reliability standards. You will work closely with architecture, design, firmware, and software teams to debug complex issues and drive silicon success.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead full chip validation efforts for cutting-edge AI silicon.
Define test plans, and coverage metrics.
Develop and execute pre-silicon and post-siliconcontent.
Work with emulation and simulation platforms to validate chip functionality.
Debug complex hardware, firmware, and system-level interactions.
Collaborate with architecture, RTL design, and software teams to resolve validation gaps.
Work with bring-up teams during initial silicon validation and power-on.
Define stress, power, random and reliability tests for robust chip validation.
Drive improvements in validation methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in system validation, chip bring-up, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of system-on-chip (SoC) architectures, preferably in AI, GPU, or high-performance computing.
Hands-on experience in post-silicon validation, including lab bring-up and debugging.
Experience with pre-silicon validation using simulation, emulation, or FPGA prototypes.
Proficiency in debug tools (JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
Familiarity with hardware validation automation using Python, or other scripting languages.
Good understanding of PCIe, HBM, Ethernet, and other high-speed interfaces.
Experience working in Linux environments and with embedded systems.
Ability to analyze silicon failures and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis.
