Cloud Software Engineer

Job Description

Cloud Software Engineer:

• Designs, develops, validates and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybrid cloud and/or on-prem deployment models.
• Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms and applications) as required to enable cloud software.
• May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud.
• May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML and opensource development projects.
• Develops and integrates manageability solutions, focusing on standardizing manageability interfaces, supporting out-of-band connectivity and enhancing telemetry and security functionalities for Intel platforms.

Qualifications

Qualifications required to be successful:

• BSc or higher degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming language: 4+ years
• Experience in software/firmware development, development methods and practices: 3+ years
• Experience in working with FPGA/Hybrid FPGA pre-silicon environment
• Good spoken and written English
• Ability to work in a team as an active participant
• Effective cross-team cooperation in a multinational environment- Willingness to learn new topics, improve own skillset, influence processes to increase team efficiency

The following will be considered an advantage:

• Familiarity with C#/Python programming language
• Familiarity with automated validation and processes
• Deep knowledge about Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with hardware/software interactions, embedded firmware and real-time operating systems
• Skills in concurrent programming in a multi-task environment
• Experience with version control systems (preferably Git) Basic understanding of HW design

Working Model
