Firmware Engineer

Job Description

Prime code Server Firmware Architecture and Design team is looking for a Firmware Engineer to join their team. This team drives the definition and development of Intel's integrated firmware for all Server SoCs. Software development responsibilities may be quite diverse, depending on the unique needs of the projects.

As a Firmware Design Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Specify and implement CPU power, performance, and thermal management algorithms, as well as other CPU control and management functions;
• Architect and design embedded firmware solutions on micro-controllers that work within system-level design constraints
• Analyze existing algorithms and implementations for defects and weaknesses
• Propose changes to improve function and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Microprocessor development
• IA-32 architecture/micro-architecture, microprocessors, and computer system architecture
• Low-level software or firmware programming skills
• Programming languages: C/C++, Python
• Linux command-line tools

Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out:

• Validation and/or testing, especially in processor design teams
• Pre-Silicon or Post-Silicon CPU debug experience
• Platform architecture and operating system knowledge
• CPU power management

Working Model
