Silicon Firmware Development Student
Job Description
The Discrete Graphics Engineering (DGE) Group within CCG is seeking a versatile and talented student to be part of Intel's next generation Graphics Development team.
In this position, you will help developing and testing Firmware for GDDR PHY IP. You will collaborate across Design Engineering, Validation and Architecture to define and implement best solutions for our customers.
In this role your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Implement firmware algorithms for GDDR PHY IP and test them pre and post silicon
Maintain and offer support for existing firmware
Develop specification and test plans based on hardware/firmware co-design
Develop and validate APIs to ensure a smooth interaction between various components and debug tools
Work closely with Hardware, Implementation and Test Team to integrate all desired features

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced student pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Science or Electrical Engineering, or similar field
6+ months of experience in Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills
Advanced English level
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to memory interfaces
Exposure to waveform analysis and debug using VCS/Verdi, NCSim or Questa simulators
Familiarity with Verilog and System Verilog HDL
Familiarity with revision control systems such as GIT / Perforce
Debug capabilities
