HEC Solutions Engineer

Job Description

In this role, you will be part of a vibrant Health, Education and Consumer Industries (HEC) team under the CCG's Edge Computing Group (ECG) of Intel based out of Penang, Malaysia focusing on enabling key use cases to address industry problems for Asia Pacific with priority on the Southeast Asia region. You will have the hands-on opportunity to work with senior members of the team on the customer use case requirements, and experimenting with the latest Intel platforms, software and technologies including AI applications for healthcare, education, and other consumer industries such as retail and banking.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Assisting and executing on building solutions demo including integration of hardware and software systems, reference architecture for prioritized solution use cases with guidance from senior architects
• Working on performance evaluation, benchmark and optimization efforts on use case workloads including AI applications
• Create and publish technical whitepapers, and/or related collaterals

The role will have extensive opportunities for business and vertical markets exposure as part of the learning process. It also requires collaboration with internal engineering teams, segment marketing owners, external partners, and customers.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or similar field or a bachelor degree with at least 2 years experience.
• Basic know-how on building a computer system, having knowledge on embedded and edge systems is desirable.
• Proficiency in Python programming language and familiar with software engineering principles like writing maintainable and efficient code is important. Other programming languages such as, Java, or C++ will be added advantages.
• Basic knowledge of data science, machine learning/deep learning and natural language processing etc. Experience with AI frameworks, data modeling and data processing is an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and communications skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Working Model
